When you receive your paperwork from the Business Support Service Bureau, confirming your commission, bring it in to the County Clerk’s Office at 83 Spring Street, Suite 304, in Newton, and you will be administered the Notary Oath. The fee for this service is $15.00.

Our hours of operation are Mondays 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed holidays).

Please note that the Notary Public Commission Certificate and the Oath Qualification Certificate must be completed at my office within three (3) months of the date of your commission. Failure to do so in the allotted time will result in cancellation of your appointment. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 973-579-0900, or e-mail us at scclerk@nac.net.
