November 3 General Election — Important Dates

August 9 (Monday) — County Clerk draws for ballot position for General Election candidates, 3 p.m. at the County Clerk's Office.

August 20 (Friday) — Deadline for county and municipal governments to submit public questions to appear on the General Election ballot to the County Clerk.

September 3 (Friday) — Deadline for submission of a public question proposed by the electorate and adopted by county or municipal government to be filed with the County Clerk.

September 3 (Friday) — Deadline for an Independent candidate to withdraw from the General Election.

September 9 (Thursday) — Deadline for filling a vacancy for an Independent candidate.

September 13 (Monday) — Last day a vacancy can occur for a Primary Election nominee

September 15 (Wednesday) — Deadline to fill a vacancy created by a withdrawn Primary nominee.

End September — Mail-in/Vote by Mail ballots available from your County Clerk.

October 12 (Tuesday) — Last day to register for the November General Election.

October 26 (Tuesday) — Last day to apply by mail for a mail-in ballot (Clerk's Office must be in receipt of your completed application by Oct 26).

October 31 (Saturday) — Special extended hours at the Clerk's Office from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Vote by Mail/Early Voting only.

End October — Sample ballots are mailed by noon on the Wednesday preceding Election Day.

November 1 (Monday) — Last day to apply in person and vote a mail-in ballot; up to 3 p.m. at the Clerk's Office.
